HOW TO BEAT FEAR | COMO VENCÉR EL TEMOR

Fear tries to grip us all. Has the news of coronavirus spreading around the world frightened you? Maybe it’s something else? Do you get nervous driving on the highway when huge trucks pass or drivers suddenly break?

You might get anxious about job interviews, speaking in public or taking exams. Maybe certain people cause you to cower. Whatever makes your stomach churn, I want you to know that you don’t have to live like that. You can conquer fear. 

WHY IS FEAR A PROBLEM? 

Fear feels awful, but that’s not all. Faith is when we believe God’s promises. Fear when we believe the enemy’s threats. Faith enables us to receive God’s best. Fear opens the door to the devil’s plots.

We need to be wise – wisdom is rooted in faith, but we must not be wary – wariness is rooted in fear. Rom 14:23b says, “whatever is not from faith is sin.” Fear is the exact opposite of faith so when I’m afraid, I’m in sin.

In this hour, we need great faith & much wisdom. To live in faith, we must drive out fear because the two cannot coexist. Let’s conquer every fear. Here are 3 simple steps.

1. LOOK FEAR IN THE FACE 

Fear’s power is fear. The enemy often makes us afraid of even looking at the object of dread. The devil wants you to turn away from that spider or panic at the thought of that exam.

Stop when you feel fear, go to God in prayer and face your fear. Visualize any fears about coronavirus or see yourself in that exam. Go there with God and then hand your fear over to Jesus while you pray. 

Now look at the greatness of our God & laugh at your fear. God is GREAT and He is bigger than the things that are bigger than you! Ps 37:12-13 says, “The wicked plots against the just… The Lord laughs at him…” God is not worried!

2. REBUKE FEAR

Many times we try to rebuke fear while we are still feeling afraid! That’s why we need to face it first. Now you can see the greatness of God & you know that He is on your side, it’s time to take authority.

Js 4:7 says “Submit to God. Resist the devil & he will flee from you.” Right now, declare with me, “I submit to You my powerful God. I bind fear & I drive it out of my life, in Jesus name!” 

3. OBEY FAITH

Satan wants you to obey fear the moment it arises. He wants you to do what fear says. Isaiah 54:17 says that no weapon formed against you will prosper. It’s time to rise up against the devil’s lies and have faith in God.

Ask the Lord to give you a Bible verse for your situation. Flick through the Bible until one jumps out at you then write it down so you don’t forget. Believe His word, declare His word boldly over your life and ask for wisdom, He will give it to you liberally! (Js 1:5)

El temor trata de tomarnos a todos. Quizás la noticia del Coronavirus que está rodando alrededor del mundo te ha asustado. Quizás te pone nervioso manejar en las autopistas al lado de los camiones grandes o cuando otros conductores frenan de repente.

Puede que una entrevistas de trabajo, hablar en público o tomar exámenes produzcan ansiedad. Quizás hay personas que te hacen acobardar. Lo que hace tu estómago temblar. Quiero decirte que no tienes que vivir así. Usted puede conquistar el temor.

PORQUE ES UN PROBLEMA EL TEMOR?

El temor se siente horrible, pero no es lo único. La Fe es cuando creemos en las promesas de Dios. El temor es cuando creemos las amenazas del enemigo. La Fe nos habilita para recibir lo mejor de Dios. El temor le abre la puerta a las patrañas del diablo.

Necesitamos ser sabios – la sabiduría se basa en la Fe, no debemos de preocuparnos, – la preocupación se basa en el temor. ROM 14:23b “… y todo lo que no proviene de fe, es pecado.” El temor es lo opuesto a la Fe, así que cuando camino en temor, estoy en pecado.

En esta hora necesitamos Fe grande y mucha sabiduría. Para vivir en Fe, necesitamos sacar el temor para que no coexistan.

El poder del temor, es el temor. El enemigo a menudo nos atemoriza hasta de mirar el objeto que lo causa. El diablo quiere que evites esa araña o el pánico de tomar ese examen.

Detente cuando sientas temor, ve a Dios en oración y enfrenta el temor. Visualiza ese salón donde tomarás el examen, o al coronavirus. Entrégale el temor a Jesús en oración. Ahora mira la grandeza de Dios y ríete del temor. Dios es más grande que las cosas, aún esas que pueden ser más grande que usted! Salmos‬

Muchas veces reprendes el temor cuando todavía sientes temor. Por eso necesitamos enfrentarlo primero. Necesitamos ver la grandeza de Dios y saber que El está de nuestro lado, es tiempo de tomar autoridad! Santiago 4:7 dice “Someteos, pues, a Dios; resistid al diablo, y huirá de vosotros.” En este momento declaré con migo, “yo me someto a mi poderoso Dios. Yo ato todo temor, lo hecho fuera de mi vida, en el nombre de Jesús.”

Satanas quiere que obedezcas al temor en el momento que se presenta. El quiere que hagas lo que el temor dice. Isaias 54:17 dice que ninguna arma forjada en mi contra prosperara. Es tiempo de confiar!

Pídele al Señor que te de versos en la biblia por esta situación. Escríbelos para que no se olviden. Cree la palabra de Dios, declara su palabra y pide sabiduría, el te la dará en abundancia. (Santiago 1:5)
