The devil watches what God does and develops counterfeits. For example, faith is believing what God says, fear is believing what the devil says. Conviction comes from the Holy Spirit to keep us free from sin, condemnation comes from the enemy to bind us up in guilt.
The enemy also has a counterfeit to the armor of God. The Lord’s armor is for your protection and advancement. The devil’s armor will keep you bound and confined. I used to wear too much of the enemy’s clothes. Whose armor are you wearing?
1. Your Belt – The Bible tells us to gird ourselves with the belt of truth. A belt holds your trousers up and protects your integrity. The enemy wants you to tie a belt of deception around your waist to cover your shortcomings. He wants you to avoid the truth and hide behind “white” lies.
2. The Breastplate – The breastplate of righteousness protects your heart. Through the blood of Jesus, you are clean and righteous before God. Satan tempts us into self-righteousness, where we rely on our works to feel like we’re enough. But our righteousness is like filthy rags to the Lord and cannot make you whole.
3. The Right Shoes – When we’ve got our shoes on, we are ready to go. The Lord wants us to be booted up, ready to share the Gospel. The enemy wants us to have our feet fitted with gossip, sharing things that aren’t our business. Gossip only ever hurts us.
4. Which Shield? – The purpose of a shield is to protect. When we hold the shield of faith, we believe God’s word and refuse to listen to satan’s lies. The devil has a foul counterfeit. He tempts us to take up the shield of denial.
God’s word comes to shine a light on buried pain and kinks in our character. However, rather than facing hurts or receiving correction, we deny the truth and instead deflect from our own junk by pointing out other people’s issues.
5. The Helmet – We were saved by grace through faith. The enemy wants us to put on self-sufficiency. He wants us to rely on our own ideas and abilities to get ahead.
6. Your Sword – the sword of the Spirit is the word of God. When we put His word in our mouths, we can attack the enemy and get the victory. His word pierces our hearts and brings life. The sword of satan is accusation. Words that are spoken to crush and condemn.
The Bible says, “There is one who speaks like the piercings of a sword.” Don’t let those arrows cut your heart. Go to the word and get God’s view, believe Him, not the enemy, and speak His word over your life instead.
Tricks To Trip You

El enemigo quiere que ate un cinturón de engaño alrededor de su cintura para cubrir sus defectos. Quiere que usted se esconda detrás de mentiras “piadosas”.
2. La Coraza – La coraza de justicia protege su corazón. Por la sangre de Jesús, usted es limpio y justo ante Dios.
Satanás nos tienta a la justicia propia, donde nos vemos a nosotros mismos como superiores a los demás debido a nuestros propios esfuerzos. Nuestra justicia es como trapo de inmundicia para el Señor.
3. Los Zapatos Correctos – Cuando tenemos los zapatos puestos, estamos listos para comenzar. El Señor quiere que estemos a preparados, listos para compartir el Evangelio. El enemigo quiere que tengamos los pies equipados con chismes, compartiendo cosas que no son de nuestro incumbencia.
4. ¿Cuál Escudo? – El propósito de un escudo es proteger. Cuando sostenemos el escudo de la fe, creemos en la palabra de Dios y nos negamos a escuchar las mentiras de satanás. El diablo tiene una sucia falsificación. Él nos tienta a tomar el escudo de la negación.
La palabra de Dios viene a traer luz sobre las torceduras de nuestro carácter. Sin embargo, en lugar de recibir corrección, negamos que hemos fayado y, en cambio, nos desviamos de nuestros propios errores y señalamos los de otras personas.
5. El Casco – Fuimos salvos por gracia a través de la fe. El enemigo quiere que nos vistamos de autosuficiencia. Él quiere que confiemos en nuestras propias habilidades para salir adelante.
6. Tu Espada – La espada del Espíritu es la palabra de Dios. Cuando ponemos Su palabra en nuestra boca, podemos atacar al enemigo y obtener la victoria. La espada de satanás es acusación. Palabras que se pronuncian para aplastar y condenar.
La Biblia dice: “Hay uno que habla como las heridas de una espada”. No deje que esas flechas atraviesen su corazón. Vaya a la palabra y obtenga la opinión de Dios, créale a Él, no al enemigo, y en su lugar hable Su palabra sobre su vida.
