Two Plots Of The Enemy To Stop You Shining | DOS COMPLOTS DEMONÍACOS PARA IMPEDIR QUE USTED BRILLE

By 2nd February 2024 Uncategorised

One of my favorite chapters in the Bible is Isaiah 60. It starts with the hope-inspiring words: “Arise, shine for your light has come and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.” (Isaiah 60:1)

When God shines His light on your life, everything changes. His light spotlights you and attracts great favor. When His glory is visible on you, it will attract influential people (see verse 3).

Verse 2 explains why you need to shine: “For behold darkness shall cover the earth and dense darkness [all] peoples…” There is darkness all around causing people to be blinded and weighed down with heaviness. The world around you needs your light to shine so that they can see Jesus.

But before His light will shine on you, you need to arise. Let’s look at 60:1 in the Amplified: “Arise from the depression and prostration in which circumstances have kept you…” We will look at 2 demonic plots designed to stop you rising and shining.

  1. Let Down

The amplified version instructs us to arise from depression which is defined as: a sunken place, low spirits, sadness, dejection, or dullness.

One of the most common causes of dejection is disappointment. Proverbs 13:12 says, “Hope deferred makes the heart sick.” When your dreams seem constantly out of reach or when things fall apart it can make your heart sick. That word means sore, wounded, or grieved.

When you’re feeling low, it’s hard to get up and believe God. When your spirits are low, you probably don’t feel like shining. But according to Hebrews 11:1 “… faith is the substance of things hoped for…” In other words, hope makes faith like water makes ice. So you need hope to develop faith and you can’t make progress in the kingdom without faith.

Please don’t ignore any feelings of let down, ask the Lord to heal your heart deep down so that you can arise again.

  1. Burn Out

The second demonic plot against you arising comes from the same verse: “Arise from… the prostration in which circumstances have kept you…” Prostration means exhaustion, burnout, and tiredness. When life has been tough, it can take its toll. It can make you feel weighed down and weary.

When you feel burnt out, you rarely feel like arising. But we serve a God who is able to renew your strength. He is able to revive you by His Spirit. Isaiah 40:31 says, “Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary…”

How do you get restored when you’re burnt out? Matthew 11:28 has the answer: “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest.” If you’re tired or weighed down, set aside some time to get into the presence of the Lord. Give Him your burdens and ask Him to fill you afresh.

When your heart is strong, it’s easy to arise. If you want a fresh touch from the Lord and can reach either London later today (February 3rd) or Miami on February 17th, come to Refresh for a life-impacting encounter in God’s presence.
